Job Description:

This positions primary responsibility will be maintaining warehouse stock. This involves receiving vendor quotes, submitting bid sheets, placing purchase requests for stock, occasional supply runs for merchandise purchase/pickup/delivery, and receiving delivered freight. This position will be responsible for performing quarterly inventory of the WCF warehouse. This position will also be responsible for the distribution of supplies throughout WCF as well as to WWRF. The secondary responsibility will be to maintain accurate caustics and MSDS logs as well as maintain officer uniform stock. Position may supervise up to three offenders. Experience with Access and Excel are a plus. This position also serves as a backup for the additional Storekeeper and limited coverage of the Procurement Officer II in their absence.

This is an unclassified full-time position with benefits. Incumbent works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Rate of pay is between $12.98 and 17.39/hr. and determined by skills and experience. More information can be obtained by contacting the recruiter listed below.

Minimum Requirements:

  • One year of experience in storekeeping, including receiving, inspecting, cataloging, and storing goods, and maintaining inventory records.
  • Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the Agency.

    Preferred Skills/Qualifications: (May be used to screen applicants)

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of inventory procedures and personal computers
  • Four (4) years experience in industrial warehousing
  • Performance Standards:

    To be successful, the expectation is that a candidate will be able to competently perform the routine tasks of the position with limited supervision by the end of the six-month probationary period.

  • Positions in this class require that at the time of appointment the selected candidate must have taken and passed a drug screening test approved by the Division of Personnel Services unless promoting, transferring, or demoting from another safety sensitive position within the same agency. Additionally, the selected candidate must pass a TB screening.
